  • Can I get waxed if I'm on my period?
    Yes, you can still get your bikini and brazillan wax if you are on your period but clients find that they may be more sensitive to the waxing process. We require a tampon to be worn if you are receiving wax services during your menstrual cycle.
  • Does waxing hurt?
    Waxing is not as painful as some think. Clients who consistently wax (every 3-4) weeks report that the sessions become almost painless. Some clients find taking an anti-inflammatory about thirty minutes before a scheduled service helps to reduce the possibility of pain and swelling.
  • Can I get waxed if I'm plus size?
    Absolutely! Waxing is for women of all shapes and sizes! Hannah Stark provides a professional, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for her clients. At Stark Skin our mission is to reveal confidence through beautiful skin.
  • How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?
    Your hair needs to be grown out for 2-3 weeks or at least ¼ of an inch long.
  • How often should I wax?
    It is recommended to wax every 3-4 weeks. Waxing on a consistent basis will not only remove the hair from the follicle but also lessen the regrowth which will lead to less painful waxes.
  • Can I get facials during the summer?
    Definitely! The skin on our face benefits from year round skin treatments. Please remember to wear SPF. We recommend staying out of the sun for 24 hours after your appointment because your skin will be more sensitive and prone to burning.
  • Can I get waxed if I am sunburned?
    No. If you are sunburnt, waxing can irritate the skin more than usual or cause your skin to lift.
  • Can I get a facial if I am sunburned?
    No. Getting a facial while sunburned will cause more damage to your skin.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Stark Skin requires 24 hour notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of your services. If you are more than 7 minutes late to your appointment (at the 8 minute mark), we will have to reschedule your appointment, and you will be charged 50% of your service(s). If you no-show for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of your service(s). All fees are to be paid before scheduling another appointment. Hannah understands that things come up and allows for one (1) "pass" of not paying a fee per calendar year.
